What happened when..
1970’s – Started to listen to music, growing up in Manchester
1981 – started to develop a clear taste in music. Began to write lyrics
1982 – started to play the guitar, self taught from various simple books and also “The Theory of Music”
1982 – started a long standing writing and playing partnership with Andy Toft
1982 – 1987 – Formed various bands at school; performed at several self funded local gigs and parties
1987 – Moved to Birmingham; gap in music making
1990 – reunited with Andy Toft in Birmingham and joined his band The Dovetails for a few years
1990’s – continued to write songs and began to record them solo
1999 – moved to Oxford and met Justin Johnstone-Thomas
1999 – 2003 – Worked in various permutations of bands with Justin and others; gigged and recorded.
2004 – Lili born, followed by Noah and Louie – music stopped
2014 – started to write and record first new music for 10 years
